"NIGHT" SHOTS AT NIGHT Part 2

This is Part 2 of a multi-part series of photos showing the cemetery from NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD as it is today in Evans City, PA....just in the middle of the night. This was the idea of my buddy Daz Spooky and I have to give him all the credit for this idea and showing me how to take these fantastic photos. Through long exposure settings and the use of a tripod, you can see and photograph the cemetery at night. In fact the longer the exposure, the more it looks like daytime. It's weird and interesting, I hope you like what you see. No photographs have been altered in any way. These are the shots exactly as the camera captured them.

We will start with a few shots of a main driveway through the cemetery. You can see this as the second shot in the film inside the cemetery and the car with the two lead characters drives through the frame from the left to the right and drives away from the camera on the right side with a slight pan right of frame. Each photo was taken between 2am and 4 am September 2, 2013.

This first photo has a headlight shining on the scene with a slightly long exposure. This is where I find my focus for the shots with no light.

This is the shot as you see it in the film.

As you can see. The longer the exposure. The more ambient light gets photographed. That light would be moonlight in all probability.

This one almost looks like dusk or early morning, but it is pitch black.

The car passes through the frame and leaves it on the right side.

Different shots with longer and longer exposures on the same spot.

Again, this is in the middle of the night. but with a longer exposure, it almost looks like daytime.

"NIGHT" SHOTS AT NIGHT Part 1

This is Part 1 of a multi-part series of photos showing the cemetery from NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD as it is today in Evans City, PA....just in the middle of the night. We will start with a few shots of a main driveway through the cemetery. You can see this as the first shot in the film inside the cemetery and the car with the two lead characters pulls into frame from the right side and drives away from the camera into the center of the frame. Each photo was taken between 2am and 4 am September 2, 2013.

We start with photos with the headlights from my car shining in the road. This is where I find my focus for the shots with no light.

Here is the shot form the movie with the car entering the right side of the frame.

Here is another shot from the movie with the car continuing on the road away from the camera.

The following shots are taken with varying exposure times and as you can see the results are stunning.

This shot in particular looks like it was taken in broad daylight, on an overcast day. It's not, it's complete darkness in the middle of the night.
